The upcoming East Asia and the Pacific International Public Procurement Conference, happening on 28 to 30 April 2025, with the theme “Procurement for the People: Bridging Innovation, Value for Money, and Accountability,” will bring together procurement leaders from 20 countries to advance the modernization of procurement systems, optimize public spending, and strengthen transparency and accountability in government processes.

Co-hosted by The World Bank and supported by the Asian Development Bank and the Islamic Development Bank, this event is a significant step toward aligning procurement practices with the needs of the people. At the heart of this initiative is the goal of ensuring that every peso spent through public procurement translates into better services, more inclusive development, and a higher quality of life for every citizen. Truly, this is a procurement for the people—driven by innovation, guided by accountability, and anchored on value for money.
