It aims to showcase how procurement practices are evolving into powerful tools for promoting global progress and equitable development.
The Government Procurement Policy Board – Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) invites everyone to watch online the highly anticipated Panel 8 – Unmasking Ownership: Enhancing Transparency in Procurement of the East Asia and the Pacific International Public Procurement Conference (EAP IPPC), happening on 30 April 2025, the third day of the event.
This session goes beyond surface-level transparency by addressing the critical issue of beneficial ownership. It will explore how uncovering hidden ownership structures strengthens public trust, mitigates corruption risks, and promotes equity in procurement processes. The panel will feature procurement authorities from across the East Asia and Pacific Region, along with invited line agencies, all working together to advance meaningful reforms and accountability in public procurement.
In observance of the Holy Week and in recognition of the spiritual significance and solemnity of this important occasion, the Government Procurement Policy Board – Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) will be implementing a work-from-home arrangement on 16 April 2025 (Wednesday). This initiative aims to provide our personnel with the opportunity to reflect and observe the traditions of the Holy Week, while ensuring that essential services remain uninterrupted. Join us for an empowering session at the East Asia and the Pacific International Public Procurement Conference (EAP IPPC) on 29 April 2025, the second day of the event, featuring the theme Women at the Forefront: Transforming Procurement through Inclusion (Panel 5).
This session will spotlight the transformative impact of women-led businesses in public procurement, highlighting creative approaches and bold initiatives that break down barriers, empower women entrepreneurs, and reshape procurement systems to be more equitable and inclusive.
The upcoming East Asia and the Pacific International Public Procurement Conference, happening on 28 to 30 April 2025, with the theme “Procurement for the People: Bridging Innovation, Value for Money, and Accountability,” will bring together procurement leaders from 20 countries to advance the modernization of procurement systems, optimize public spending, and strengthen transparency and accountability in government processes.
On the second day of the East Asia and the Pacific International Public Procurement Conference (EAPIPPC) in Manila, participants will dive deeper into the theme, “Procurement for the People: Bridging Innovation, Value for Money, and Accountability.” Among the highlights is Panel 4, “Sustainable Procurement: Beyond Green Policies to Real Impact,” which focuses on the rapidly evolving field of sustainability in procurement.
