The Government Procurement Policy Board – Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) joined the 2nd Negotiating Round of the Philippines–Canada Free Trade Agreement (PH-CA FTA), held on 15–16 April 2026, alongside the Procurement Service – Department of Budget and Management (PS-DBM), contributing to discussions on government procurement and related areas.
Representing GPPB-TSO were Officer-in-Charge Atty. Sofia C. Yanto-Abad, Atty. Patricia Anne Garcia, Atty. Christine Paciencia, Atty. Elena Escober and Annie Almojuela, who participated as part of the Philippine delegation advancing key negotiations under the agreement.
The PH-CA FTA aims to strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the Philippines and Canada, with government procurement identified as one of the priority areas for collaboration.
