Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Government Procurement Policy Board - Technical Support Office
DBM Sec. Benjamin Diokno attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the new office building of the Government Procurement Policy Board - Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) earlier today at the UP Diliman Complex.
The event was graced by GPPB-TSO Executive Director Atty. Rowena Candice Ruiz, UP President Danilo Concepcion, and other senior officials from the DBM and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
"With the increasing demands of procurement-related activities, this new facility will greatly help the TSO in fulfilling its duties towards more streamlined procurement processes in the country," Sec. Diokno said.
Expected to be completed in 2020, the new GPPB-TSO building adopts an iconic design that will remain a good design despite the passing of years. It will contain offices, several meeting rooms, 268 sq.m. board room, spacious training rooms, dormitories, sports amenities, and an auditorium that can accommodate 135 participants.
"This new building should be a reminder that there is so much to look forward to not only for the GPPB, but for the future of the country’s government procurement system. Let us use this as an inspiration to adopt a forward-thinking and persevering attitude at all times," the Budget Secretary added.
