Knowledge and Skills Enhancement Training-Workshop for GPPB Recognized Trainers
Pursuant to its mandate, the Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB), through its Technical Support Office (TSO) established a sustainable training program in order to develop the capacity of government procurement officers and employees, and to ensure the conduct of regular procurement training programs for procuring entities nationwide.
Part of this training program is the maintenance of a pool of GPPB-TSO Recognized Trainers composed of procurement practitioners and public officials from executive departments, national government agencies (NGAs), government-owned and/or controlled corporations (GOCCs), government financial institutions (GFIs), state universities and colleges (SUCs) and local government units (LGUs) who are tasked to act as Resource Persons and conduct training seminars on Republic Act (R.A.) No. 9184 or the Government Procurement Reform Act and its associated rules, guidelines and procedures nationwide.
This Training-Workshop aims to: Apprise the GPPB Recognized Trainers of the recent updates on the Philippine Bidding Documents (PBDs), Generic Procurement Manual (GPM) and the 2016 Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of R.A. 9184, including the most recent issuances of the GPPB-TSO; Seek ideas/suggestions on how to improve/enhance presentation materials and workshops; Enhance skills in addressing/resolving procurement issues/queries; Gather observations, issues and concerns on the implementation and interpretation of the Government Procurement Reform Act or the Republic Act No. 9184; Revalidate the knowledge or proficiency on procurement, and presentation and facilitation skills; and Inform the trainers of the improvements in the endorsement of training requests (OTMS, turn-around time, etc.) and other related concerns.
