MANILA, JULY 22, 2009—The Philippine government today signed the revised implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of the Government Procurement Reform Act (RA 9184), a crucial step in making public biddings for both local and foreign-funded state projects simpler, faster, and more transparent. The landmark law, RA 9184, intends to save the government billions of money spent annually on buying goods and services for projects needed to serve the Filipino people. |
