5 February 2010 marked the formal launching of the Government Procurement Professionals of the Philippines, Inc. (GPPPI), an organization partnering with the government in the advancement of procurement reforms in the Philippines. Rollout of the Revised IRR to Private Entities
The Government Procurement Policy Board (GPPB) in coordination with the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) conducted a one-day seminar on the revised Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act (RA) 9184 for private entities last 24 November 2009 at the Development Academy of the Philippines where a total of 42 participants from various suppliers, constructors, and consulting firms within the National Capital Region attended. Protect MDGs
The League of Cities of the Philippines (LCP) is working closely with the Government Procurement Policy Board-Technical Support Office (GPPB-TSO) in its project entitled “Promoting Procurement Transparency and Efficiency to Achieve the United Nations Millennium Development Goals” or PROTECT MDGs. The project aims to achieve the MDG targets by promoting transparency and attaining efficiency through strengthening public procurement in ten (10) selected cities consisting of Vigan, Valenzuela, Roxas, Kabankalan, Iriga, Masbate, Oroquieta, Surigao.
